I asked how the seller how he wanted me to pay and the guy said to call him before I paid. I was busy so kept forgetting to call until about 11pm each night.. I kept asking via eBay", can I just pay with PayPal or send a cheque or transfer, anything!" And he'd not reply for ages and then say 'call me'.

I gave up in the end..

Sounds like he was trying to get you to complete outside ebay

They are reviewed in an early HFW - about 1993 - The review was an absolute drubbing and Canon got quite annoyed and wrote a letter of complaint.

I'm sure I read a review in another mag and they got good reviews - I think for imaging or the surrounded by sound effect of a wide dispersion speaker anyway.

Yes i'm sure they would be fine in a cheap home cinema lash up - not hi-fi speakers, though, unless you like your soundstage 'unusual'

Sorry Nat but I can't copy and paste with my mobile so can't post links. The item was fort a Linn Akito arm belonging to the seller's father which was broke in two, but in otherwise excellent condition. The seller thought a bit of welding would see it back in working condition. There was about 10 bids when I last looked and the price was about £50. It ended, but I didn't look to see what it went for.

You'd have to hear them, I did. To get some idea, just lay a pair of small speakers on their backs and listen to them. That's about the sort of sound you get! Vague, diffuse and lightweight (not to mention the horrible colourations).

They were reviewed in The Audiophile. The design was limited by the quality of the driver and use of a parasitic tweeter.
