hey a North East bake off, how great would that be? Lets organise one?

I could probably host a half dozen members or so at my place on a saturday afternoon/evening with some 'light' refreshments, how does that sound? unless you had something bigger in mind. I'm in gateshead near Heworth.

We could take my all rega system as a reference point then ppl could bring their own bits and bobs as suits them. We can take it in turns where everyone gets a spot to play their music and show off their turntable/dac/cdp/valve amp/whatever. Emphasis would be more on the social, hearing some good tunes on some nice gear rather than an exercise in measurement or hifi top trumps!

Btw... whats this prog rock festival you are involved with? If you get a chance come see my band, Prism (a floyd tribute)... when we're playing around the NE. I could post some vids and stuff but dont want to crap on this thread as I've got another one in 'Musical Compositions'
