Thanks for the answer, I still do not fully understand the logic, but this is not the thread for any further discussion, I will have to find out more.
Thanks again

I think Martin's explanation sums things up pretty good as far as the reasoning behind removing as many bottlenecks in the chain' to ensure maximum current capability necessary for instant transient response etc, although it must be stressed that certain equipment will benefit more than others from this application etc. This is one of the many reasons why mains cables in particular [and speaker cables to a degree] make such a difference, however, as has already been explained, the people who go to these lengths are already well aware, and therefore accept that there is always an element of risk involved in the removal of extra safety aspects such as fuses in cabling etc, however, it must be understood and accepted that these people are striving to achieve a no compromise situation through out their audio replay chain as far as physically possible whilst still retaining the basic safety aspects of each individual piece of equipment in the chain i.e.; via the retention of the correct rating internal fuse etc.

Thanks, Anthony. The above (in bold) sums things up nicely, and is precisely what I'm seeking to achieve with this latest modI think Martin's explanation sums things up pretty good as far as the reasoning behind removing as many bottlenecks in the chain' to ensure maximum current capability necessary for instant transient response...
