They are big!It's the 10" drivers that have foam rot, not the 15" drivers at the bottom.
Looks like 3 level controls under the twin tweeters on the right.
My guess is they'd make a good bit of noise if the foam surrounds got replaced.

I'd say you're about right with £3k per unit being the (theoretical) start point for 'High End' pricing. But where does the high end finish? That would make an interesting thread. I think I'll start one!
What about cartridges? I think of my £2k Shelter as being pretty high end.

I dread to think. I'd imagine you could find a cartridge costing over ten grand. Bit of a bummer if the missus catches that with a duster. My friend was a bit choked when his wife took the tip off his DL103 whilst dusting. Can you insure against damage?

I know somebody who as far as I'm aware is still using one. They were not a great deck in my view. The platter was rather lightweight and so was the sound.
