I can attest to that, and you've usually got a handle on what's changed with some accuracy. We can all do that for systems that we know and enjoy listening to.

Well probably I would recognise a person's voice after a month or so, although would not, most likely, be able to remember their name.

Who said that the differences between mains cables were subtle? Not me, I was talking about the effect of upgrading plugs and wall sockets. Properly designed, complete mains cables, for high-end audio use, are a different ball game entirely!

Who cares what her name was, as long as she was a good 'jump', eh?

I guess it may depend on how many new people one meets in a normal day in the life. Quiet life remembering more likely, busy busy, less likey.

I wonder how the mains spike and earth that many seek to install benefits double insulated components. Many items are these days.

Improve your power supply, get your own substation.

I know they arent subtle for you Marco, you've invested too much time cost and evangalising for it to be anything else. How shall I put it mains benefits are circumstance dependant unlike say speakers which benefit even the deaf. Some get huge differences others not. They are not an absolute gain for all.

Martin T first mentioned mains leads to me. Assuming he was on the wrong drugs or something I bought 3 Kimber HC powerkords on Ebay for £124
Not a lot of time invested
The difference was not subtle and I have since moved on up to even better gaining improvements each time
