I know they can be a little tricky so any help gratefully received, Thanks,

When the green light is on, the unit is charging.

    ... I think!
    I'm pretty sure, actually.

Yes, when the green (and red) charger lights are on it is charging. The battery must be in the ON position before the green light will come on on the charger. Bit counter-intuitive really...

Thanks Jerry and Adrian. Have it figured out with your help. Bit worried about that 'store it outside' issue. Seems OTT in light of recent posts; the unit is v solid, not a hint of warmth ever, but Ill find a spot in the greenhouse..... Can't get the difference between the battery sound and the wallwart and SBooster sound, maybe a bit more width in soundstage with the battery?? The SBooster is a great refinement to both the BM and my Bantam Gold (I have 2). To these old ears the battery betters the wallwart by a bit, but not when the SBooster is added. Could go a bit doolaly comparing.........now have 2 weeks to enjoy everything again, 1st to last track complete on all my old fave cd's, then holliers and no music, just the kindle...

wasn't that what Stan implied early on when he said he could find no measurable difference between the battery and PSU units once the Sbooster was added ??

So let me get this straight........if I just added the S Booster I get a better sound, but if I then used it with a battery supply, it negates any improvement?

How can something filter something that isn't there?
The SBooster filters RF and switching noise from cheap SMPS.
A battery doesn't generate RF, nor does it create switching noise.

No, the claim is that adding the S Booster to the Powersupply results in a performance comperable to that of a battery supply.

In the case of a battery the S Booster is simply not required.

Mines arrived today, I sincerely hope its better than a battery supply as the one I tried was a step backwards...
