Bargains on ebay?

I know - I was sorely tempted to pitch in for a moment back there!

Haha - well you could have sold on a couple of the Decca heads to me, had you won the bid.

I recently won an ADC 10E Mk.IV cartridge for next to nothing on eBay. Ironically, because the item came from the US, I had to pay just under £6VAT (over valued). But the biggest bugger was paying Parcel Force £13.50 for the privilage of their forwarding on the Clearance Fee! Vampires!

The spare arm could fetch £75 -100, and each head up to £150. Sell them off and the remaining deck, arm and cartridge head need only have cost the purchaser less than £100!

My instinct tells me it was Emporium Hifi who bought that - was watching it myself.

Exact same feedback score and bid placed a little bit in advance and stuck to (a profit margin decided upon and left to play its course) - I've watched Emporium's bids before and out bid them on something or other, they appear to make their bid and walk off (daft. They should snipe and hold their cards to their chests - amateurs! ).

Some Decca ffss carts have fetched £300+ and recent boxed Decca International arm in box fetched £350 (I did some research today!) so I reckon maybe £2000+ worth there - I imagine Emporium's bid would have been half that using the normal double-yerr-money stance of any secondhand dealer.
