You get the fascia as shown on my website. In order to avoid any confusion I won't be continuing with offering an alternative fascia for the Bushmaster. That project is now scrapped.

Hey Bazil, your are talking about coming from a computer USB correct?

Is so you can use a USB to S/PDIF converter. I'm sure there are some recommended here or you can ask for recommendations or just google USB to S/PDIF converter.

If it is a laptop with an express slot then get a Creative xpresscard with optical output. Only go for a USB adapter as the last resort.

Hey Stan, What about an smart-phone app that links the phone by remote control to the Bushmaster? Then it doesn't really matter what the BM looks like, people could just change the 'virtual face plate' on their phones/remote controls.

For what it's worth Stan, despite been vocal about the design earlier, having received mine now I think it looks really good. I've changed my tune mainly because the unit is quite a bit smaller than it was in my minds eye so the fonts actually work fine and also because the build quality of the case is so good.

Despite the cost it added the case was well worth it - really sets it apart from your past DACs and fits with the statement you are making. In my mind that statement is 'The Caiman is a great low priced DAC; the Bushmaster is a great DAC.'

Having flogged a few bits of surplus non Hifi bits and bobs, I thought it time to jump on the bandwagon and get a Bushmaster, and as I had to go to Sarf Landern to collect my son from uni, went to see Stan to purchase one.

Now, having spoken to Stan numerous times since his first dac venture,
I had an image of him in my head, which was absolutely nothing like he looks in real life! ( think Micky Stone in Hustle when he was made up to look like a
    Nigerian Prince!)

What a nice guy he is too, nothing was too much trouble, including ' talking me in' when I went a bit astray of his address!

Anyway, it was late when I got back, and have not had chance to try it yet, but what An amazing step l up design wise from my 7510, which by comparison seemed vey home made, whereby the BM looks and feels the real deal!

It will be late afternoon when I get to connect it, so I will report back then..........l cant bloody wait!

I think I might have shagged my Bushmaster.

Left it on streaming internet radio last night to speed up the running in process, just as recommended in the instructions.

Realised this morning that I'd accidentally selected ABBA Radio on my streamer Its been playing dodgy Swedish pop tunes all night!

Seems to work OK but do you think I've done any permanent damage?

    Cheers,
    Martin
