Very nice indeed, I particularly love the open plan look - if I could I would just have one big room for everything, with the bedrooms and bathroom off the main living space. I hate doors and walls.

Yes, open plan is the best way to be.

Can be achieved very quickly with a big hammer.

Its not perfect though - I'm listening to my system at low volume and my wife is in the office bit on a conference call. Sometimes a wall would be handy
