    I know... Personally, I wouldn't pay much more than £1k for an MC cartridge, as after that, it just gets silly, and more about 'jewellery' than anything else. My SPU was £800, and performs far in excess of its price tag, which is exactly what I like.

    How much? What do you get in a pick-up cartridge at this price-point? Surely a lot of bling factor involved at such an elevated price; even if it is a fabulous piece. I think I would be very nervous using something of such an enormous price.
