    I quite like those Zen 2 watters.. The Wooden bases transforms the looks imho, but i'm not sure how much they are to buy.
    How much you pay for the amp itself if you don't mind me asking?

    Yeah the wooden bases are very attractive, that's a long term plan to knock one up at some point.
    I was a bit under £300 including delivery, and a proper UK model, not a kit.

    I am! Been having a play, and using it direct from the CD-850 (rather than the AVR200 as pre) and its even better, bass is even punchier and slightly deeper, seems more dynamic.
