Thanks Mike. The tonearm height issue only applies to SL-1200 users who have the standard platter and mat, so this is a useful tip.

Giving it some thought it would also be possible for people to use it who still have the old bearing. Although I would think it would be something of a hollow exercise; fitting high quality arms and using only the stock bearing.

My collars arrived in the mail today. They appear to be very well made. After I get these installed I think I'll spin some jazz and enjoy a dram of good single malt (probably Ardbeg Uigeadail )

I've just bought a Jelco SA-750D and, having read the many posts on AOS, I'd love to buy one to fit to the arm - seems a great improvement on the std mounting. I would prefer natural aluminium colour. Please let me know if you still have one. Kind regards, Steve

Just got mine. Looks really nice. Just one small issue - the screws were to close to the Collar and, thanks to Russian post I believe, one of the screws left a strong scratches on the Collar from the bottom side of the hole. I had to correct it. Not a big issue, but I would recommend you to pack it separately.

Sorry about that - I did try to make sure that there was one layer of bubble wrap between the collar and the bag containing bolts etc, but clearly this was not enough to cope with the Russian postal system.
