I was about to say the same thing. Take 9 poxy transistor radio drivers and put them in a small cabinet and they'll sound like - a big tranny radio. The equaliser worked hard to make them sound semi-decent. Oh how I laughed when the direct/reflecting principle got turned on its head so that the 'professional' 901s were used back to front.

That is a spectacularly handsome looking turntable and it appears to be well engineered too. It would depend on the quality of the arm I guess as it looks as if you'll be stuck with it...
