Audio Room Formula

I was sitting in a mates music room today asking about his room size as it was purpose built, so if you are building one from scratch, here is the formula.

1= Height next is Width next is Length

This is the IEC Rule to use where possible

1 x 1.60 x 2.33

So if your room is 8ft height it will need to be 12.8 ft wide and 18.64 ft long

A note also says

Floor to be wood over concrete
All walls to be slighly asymmetrical
Wall behind speaker to be concave
Ceiling to be as solid as possible




There are three other formulars to use if you can't make the above work

1 x 1.4 x 1.9
1 x 1.14 x 1.39
1 x 1.28 x 1.54
