They seem to fetch good money over in the US, $2000+ for a decent one. Of course that doesn't mean there aren't better ways to spend the money.

like i said it's gunna need a good clean and service, but that shouldn't be too much of a problem, what got me was how much it weighs.. 15Kgnow that says quality to me
Mark do you have a service manual for it m8, and also how easy would you think an arm upgrade would be??
As the late Colonel Sanders once said

No service manual for it i'm afraid, but I reckon an arm upgrade should be possibleUnlike the Techie the AP2600 has one rather massive motor unit instead of it all being in seperate bits. In all honesty I haven't taken a close look at the internal electronics as mine works perfectly still
Give it a clean & then see what it does, I doubt you'll need to do a thing to it to get some serious sounds out of it. But maybe a recap might be in order just to put the icing on the cake...
I bought mine for £25, but that was at least 10 years ago, so you got a real bargain Mike![]()

Can't believe how much some of the stuff is going for on fleabay these days. there's still a very well priced Krell KSA80B up in Sheffield - and it IS a good amp IMO and will drive anything...
I can't go on and I can't go back, I don't feel so matter of fact,
I tried and tried to make good sense, What's the good to try it all again?
