I think the caffeine and nicotine must have gone to my head this morning. I've 'accidentally' clicked (a few times) a few buttons and ended up with some pig ugly monstrosity without an arm for £110. Are they supposed to be any good them owd dj decks.
You have done extremely well for £110, i would happily pay that to have a 2nd "test" deck for future modifications or even keep the deck as a spare, well done mate

Has anybody tried lead as a platter mat for the Teccy? I was just having a think about diy platter mats and thought a couple of sheets of copper or lead, with a label cutout on the top sheet and a bit of bonding might work a treat.

By the way, I said BONDING!! Don't want to get Marco over excited.

I think i brought this up with Mike New at one stage, his reply was something to the effect of "there aren't that many churches his way"

No reason why it shouldn't work imo. No idea what the sound would be like though

Tabatha, the AoS record cleaner might not thank you for a lead mat.

Nothing stopping anyone from making their own though, i can understand why it might be naughty to sell a manufactured one

    Lol.

I was thinking that a couple of small sheets of lead or copper wouldn't cost that much. Maybe even experiment with copper as well. Might sound like a load of crap, but could be a stroke of genius
