Turntable: Heavily-modified Technics SL-1210MK5G [Mike New bearing/ETP platter/Paul Hynes SR7 PSU & regulator mods]. Funk Firm APM Achromat with Nagaoka GL-601 Crystal Record Weight. Isonoe feet & boots. Ortofon RS-212D tonearm with Denon DL-103GL, in a Denon PCL-300 headshell, fitted with Funk Firm Houdini and Kondo SL-115 pure-silver cartridge leads.
Paul Hynes MC head amp/SR5 PSU. Also modded Lentek head amp and Denon AU-310 SUT.

The Verdier is playing some Miriam Makeba tonight. It's great having two arms. The Schroeder/Allaerts and Hadcock/Decca are quite different. Neither is really better - it's just that each combo suits different recordings. Anyway time for a beer and some more music!

Thanks. There are times when I wish I were still playing. It's quite hard to find something else sporty to do when you've spent almost 15 years in the middle of the front row. Anyway at least it means I can comment on what happens in the scrum when I'm watching. Shame that the team I support (Gloucester)don't have the same sort of dominant pack we had 10-15 years ago.
