high end phono splitter (RCA splitter)

I used them for years to bi-amp with. Later I built a little box with a heap of very high quality phono sockets on it - 1 in / 4 out so I could tri-amp and plug in a headphone amp. I still use the box but can't really tell the difference between it & the splitters. You could do something like this, but if I were you, I'd stick with the splitters you've ordered - they're perfectly fine.

haha, ok guys thanks for your help, im worrying only as its the main connection from pre to 2 power amps so if it affects the quality it will affect it on everything.

already ordered the gold blocks as per Mr Reid, will see how we get on.

In the past I used Y spliters from my pre out to power amp and active sub plates and my system pretty transparent.

I have 2 outs at the moment on my pre (have 3 actually but the 3rd only works with 5.1) one to the power amp that deals with the treble then the other to my active sub, the sub has a pass through and that goes to the power amp that deals with the bass.

works fine im just wondering if I do it the other way if it will sound better, will report back when its done

sorry only just spotted this ....

the average spliter bought .....from a mass market source is quite likely to be detrimental to the signal ....

I've built in the past spliters using silver conductors that were at least the equal of the silver cables I made.

I have a problem where as my Canare phono plugs wont go into the back of the telly, it will only allow low grade plugs

I need something that will plug into the telly sockets to bring the connection out into a fresh socket, don't want a a short flying lead with female phono nor can i fit a 45 degree!! I guess i could fit a line of splitters just one one socket of each!

Yeh i bought a load of splitters earlier on, i'll just use the end one, it's only to give me an extended fresh socket. Things we have to do to use high quality plugs.

My method is to fit two cables into one connector so there are not any adapters, not cheap as the connectors are expensive and time consuming to build.
