Yes, I think I once had a couple of Altered Images LPs. Only a year or so ago, whilst having a bit of a clear out, I recorded the tracks that I liked and gave the LPs away.

Don't feel bad - this is exactly the sort of thing I was looking for when started this thread. If you enjoy it then that's all that matters, but like you there are perhaps some titles we all have that are secret and guilty pleasures.

It's a good job I had zero street cred to start with.
Perfect example of what I had in mind: a fine artist sadly enjoying very little "street cred" these days.

Any Perry Como fans out there?

Nothing wrong with that. So it's a bit of a classical "lollypop", who cares if it's programmatic, it's full of emotion and anyway it was one of the first classical CDs I bought.

No-one can touch Dean Martin or 'Get yer Nat King', baby!!

I presume you're familiar with the vernacular expression of 'Get yer Nat King'?

    Marco.

P.S Tom Jones (his rival) was the one with soul, during the era of Sir 'Humpydick' of Blandness.

Agreed about Dino, Nat King Cole and Tom Jones.

Sorry - No I'm not familiar with the vernacular expression "Get yer nat King". Please explain.

But Como did have soul, though I have none of his material.

    (P.S. You forgot Des O'Connor. )

Jeez, how could I forget Dezzo!

"Did ye get yer Nat King?"... Is a rather quaint Glaswegian expression, used when one is quizzing a friend if he managed to de-frock the young lady he dated last night and engage in coital union.

"Nat King Cole" = 'hole'... Geddit?
