It was a brave brave feat for me to claim that these ROSS are in my view the best sounding headphones i've ever heard regardless of any price tag new or ancient! These are open back

I bought those u ordered about 1984! i always found open backed more open sounding, see what you think anyway.. jesus the bass slam is amazing on these, i can see me asleep in this chair by morningHehehe... Was it a vintage pair of the Koss PRO4AAs you had, or the new versions?
