I've seen 761's go for around £25, so don't worry.
I bought a Denon 1520 from greenhome Electronics recently. Perfect mechanicals (I believe the mech is fairly similar to Marco's big Sony) but the electronics are in dire need of fettling as the sound is totally two dimensional with no dynamic shading at all..
I can't go on and I can't go back, I don't feel so matter of fact,
I tried and tried to make good sense, What's the good to try it all again?

That arm looks like a Helius Aureus (certainly the gimbal assembly looks like one). I'm afraid it was total shite.

i used to have WEM 'audiomaster' mixer in total mint condition, wish i'd still kept it..

It looks like the same gimbal assembly. I had no end of trouble with bearing stiction and getting it to trace correctly across the arc of the LP. No amount of adjustment ever cured it completely and I eventually sold it on in disgust.

It's defo the standard Helius arm Martin (Adjustable sliding headshell, you can see the internal wire exiting through the side of the armtube)..
The 'Aurum' looked very simular but had fixed headshell as opposed to the first arms sliding shell.
The 'Aureus' arms you mentioned came after these models & were different
All old problems can be sorted by sending the arms to Helius to have a full service which includes bearings..
