Those B&W 'DM70' are wonderful speakers, i would deffo have some if i got the room.
i much prefer those on that listing to the Continental version...You can still get the units serviced if you want..

So my Castle Kendal II's have had some tlc to the cabs and connecting wires replaced with something a bit more meaty, i've hooked em up and given em a run.
initially i was worried that the bass would be overwhelming, but i must say WOW, they are sweet, the bass is controlled, i don't need staws, foam or even an old pair of socks shoving in the reflex port, the stereo seperation is very good, as is mid and high frequencies.
All in all a good buy on ebay, just need to make some grills now, then i'll post some before and after shots.

Now that is a priapic generating system for us 'anacrophiles'! Never heard the DM70s, but they look lovely. But then so too does the rest of the system - Hell I've got most of it! But not any of the MAC switching units.
I'll watch this one - but I doubt the seller will get the asking price.

I seem to remember a post (that you might have made Andr'e) where someone mentioned having owned nearly all the Castle speakers
If so perhaps you can help... I'm attempting to remember what a good friend of mine had & they were very good imo. Castle speakers, 8" bass unit, 4" mid & that odd castle tweeter. Reflex enclosure ported to the front, a fair size & they might have had some kind of built in stand. They were at least 2ft^3...
Some kind of odd partition (inside the enclosure) might have been used as well to alter the way the enclosure worked. Drivers were all in line top to bottom on the enclosure front. Nice high quality wood veneer as well...
