But this chap in Serbia has built his own and documented the build process. Unfortunately all the words are in Serbian (dont know how well google translate will cope), but there are plenty of pictures and a set of PDF documents for anyone else who is feeling courageous.

The cabinets look awesome, but they don't look like Tannoy drive units - at least none I've seen before....
Maybe it's the funny 'foamed' surrounds?

I'm no expert on vintage Tannoy's but are they really going to sound that good if he's built them to the original design? I was under the impression that updating the cabinet design as per speedysteve represented a considerable improvement in SQ over the original Tannoy cabinets.

That's probably why then, as I'm unfamiliar with those drive units... Personally, I'd much prefer a pair of 15" Monitor Reds or Golds in there!

There's also the possibility that the original edge suspension on the main drive unit has brittled and perished, and you're looking at a refoamed unit
