I've read that it does make you feel rubbish at first but I've been on a low dose for only 4 days and I feel like crap
Anyone else use it ? Any comments please ?

I read that it is an SSRI, and that the benefits are only likely to be felt after a few weeks. It is reported that some individuals may initially experience worsening mood - if you think this is you it should be reported to your doctor.
Hope it works out for you.

i was on it for about 4 weeks it made me feel absolutely awful, manic, couldn't sleep, and exacerbated the problems it was supposedly treating. I was then put on to Mirtazapine which helped me to sleep but made me feel like a vegetable in terms of mental function.
My missus has been on various doses of this for quite a few years. It certainly took a few weeks to get into her system and start working, but it certainly seems to have done the trick for her.

Thanks lads.
I've read a lot about anti depressants and now I'm on it, I'm looking into Citalopram. It does appear to make you feel rubbish but I didn't realise just how bad it would be. I have been on Mirtazapine for 10 - 12 years and never had any bad effects except when the dose was Increased from 30 to 45 per day. I reduced it again.
My mood is OK but I am very tired, exhausted, weak and shaky. I can't face up to do anything much at all except sleep, which is what I have read but I was hoping it wouldn't be quite so severe. All I can do is hope that it passes off after a couple of weeks.
