There used to be a good butchers near the top of Blackboy Hill, Clifton in Bristol, but I'm going back fifty years, so it may no longer exist.

I lived in Bristol for 25 years, mostly central. Whilst I can get there in 30-40 minutes, I am not doing that round trip for my fave butcher I used for years.

The first butchers mentioned in that link: Ruby & White is located only about 100 yards from where we used to live in Bristol. Small world!

    Should be good

Supermarket meat, even from Waitrose, pales into comparison.

Bristol's a fabulous city. Del and I fancy doing a city break there sometime, either that or Bath.

If you use the Westbury Park Waitrose, I can recommend SmithFish 23 North View, Westbury Park www.smithfish.co.uk/?i=1
and Dave Giles Butchers, 170 Gloucester Road, Bishopston. Both within easy striking distance and my ‘go to’ for quality fish and meat in Bristol.
