“Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio”

I just have two.
Thought I'd lift the thread with some pictures.
First is my heavily modified Lenco GL75 with Mission774 Arm.
Second is my Technics SL-1200/Project RPM-9 hybrid with Transfi-Audio Terminator Linear tracking arm.
Both one of a kind and both equally enjoyable to use.
Lovely work done there Ken.
The modified SL-1200 with the burr-walnut plinth certainly looks striking.

I'm Dave.
I thought I was bad - with around 5 or 6. None of them in use.
A Garrard 401 with SME 9 inch. A Thorens with an SME 12 inch - detachable head shell.
A Garrard Zero 100 which I bought as another project - not of course that I even got started on that.
A direct drive one - can't remember now which one - mmm that's only 4 - I feel sure there's at least one more somewhere.
Fairly recently someone played me a very cheap LP - not even a "posh" one - Hugo Montenegro on MFP on his fancy deck. Sounded extremely good - and made me wonder if I should get working on any of these things - or [heaven forbid ...!!!] buy a new one.
