Question: Are there any Michell TT owners, specifically the GYRO SE, who still use the Pabst 24v AC motors and power supply?

I think my Gyro non SE has one, it got burned out by the PSU and I had to swap it out. Michell supplied a new one or rebuilt it - I cant remember which - it was a challenge getting the cable to sit in the housing properly, kept rubbing and making a noise - sorted it eventually

Backstory: My Gyro SE is S/N 047, March 1999. I purchased it used from a guy in NYC. When I got it, it had two Pabst 24v motors and its power supply. The power supply actually had the same S/N as my Gyro. I sold the Pabst that came with the turntable to move to the DC option, yet kept the power supply and the second Pabst 24v. There is one problem with this motor, two of the very tiny wire leads have detached and I am not in a position to re-solder them. Not a huge project for someone who has those skills. But I also do not want to throw away these vintage pieces.

If anyone has an interest, please let me know. I want nothing for them, just to find someone who might want them as a back up or just historical interest.

is that the PSU in a clear acrylic case ? sold mine to someone in Italy :-(

The power supply is a black plastic 4"x4"x2" box, looks like a ferrite piece (5"-6" long, 5/8" dia.) out of the transformer and before the plug in to the turntable. On the bottom is a tag: TOROID International, Ltd. P/N: TI-66638, SL9837. Toroid means it has a doughnut-like round circular winding.

its been a while since i was on here , the new gyro i have been told the suspension is pre fitted to the chassis , in the factory , all i can think of is the holes must still be out of true to the chassis , the Brass weights replace the Lead and the stainless steel , the motor pod looks like it has become a bit more stable ,and may be a bit more weight , when i did the suspension , they used to stick as the post holes were out of alignment on the gyro , may be on the new one that has been half sorted ,
