When I was with Arriva I used to make route maps for the drivers who were picking up or delivering vehicles. Which they loved as my predecessor did sweet FA for them. Only one, who was quite young, had his own sat nav (he was also into hi-fi) the rest were old boys who wanted it on paper.

I'd use RAC route planner, sometimes that would advise getting a ferry to France or Ireland, driving across them, then getting a ferry back to England. Just to avoid travelling on B roads. Total madness, but that was 20 years ago I'm guessing they're better now.

The increase in traffic is entirely due to Marco's return. What I was looking for were ideas on how to improve the Forum, attract new members, as well as increasing traffic.

It wasn't obvious that you had asked a question. But to give you an answer: it is because, IMO, the standard of driving and the courtesy shown to other road users in this country has fallen to an abysmally low level in the last five years or so. I find no pleasure in driving now, and only do it when I have to.

I completely agree... And where are such scumbags usually found? On motorways!

Town centres certainly aren't exempt, though. Try some B roads, Barry, you'll find a better class of driver there
