Hello Andy, sorry, a bit late to this thread. Your Yams look great.
I have large floor standing speakers which are keepers. Sadly, they need re-veneering. Up to now, I’ve put off attempting a re-veneer because I’ve heard so many horror stories about the difficulties of removing old veneer and then preparing a flat surface for a new veneer application. I have a professional wood worker friend who has suggested it is easier to start from scratch and build new cabinets!
Please can you offer the benefit of your experience? How difficult was it to remove the old veneer and then flatten the base surface to accept a new application? Any tips will be really appreciated. Thank you.
