There's some issue with using step down or step up transformers which I read about years ago now and can't recall what it was now.

I was only window shopping anyway - I can't really justify spend two grand on a 40 year old power amp just because it has orange meters.

This would do the job without much compromise at all I reckon if you change your mind. I bet that amp when working to spec is killer. The trouble with these old amps is they will fail. Like my M-60s. But they are MUCH better than most people think they will be.

When studying graphic design in the 70s, we were told mixing fonts was a no-no. As was using caps only for fonts like Old English text and Cursive Script type fonts - anything that makes text harder to read is a failure. At least Marantz correctly mixed caps with lower case
