Default Politics? This may make you smile

    Hi All

Had a few days break recently in St. Leonards-On-Sea (town adjoining Hastings - 1066 and all that) where I spent the formative years of my childhood during the early 1960's.

When my wife saw the sign in the attached image - which is in public view on the cliff top warning rail on Hastings West Hill next to the castle - she burst out laughing and said "Now I understand your political views".

    ;-)

The sign looks professionally made and brand new. It will be interesting to see how long it remains before it is removed by the council.

The sign certainly looks fairly new but it reflects the attitude of the adults I knew in the area in the 1960's.

No doubt the local politicians will get it removed as soon as they realise it exists.
Maybe someone local can check on it from time to time and let us know when it disappears?

By the time they have a few meetings about it, survey the site, then the H&S assessment, then they need to cordon of the area. Then they need at least a team of 4 ( 1 to do the work and 3 leaning on spades) to remove it whilst being observed by a line manager.

    I'd guess at 9 months

    Hi All

I was visiting Hastings on Thursday so thought I would check if the sign had been removed in the past (almost) year.

No, sign is still there, looking a little more weather worn. Guess the local council have not got around to the initial meetings yet :-)
