When I was in primary school (1970s) it came in those pyramid shape cardboard cartons, with a straw. They'd leave it out in the sun from when it was delivered at about 0800 to after the morning break when it was issued to us. Yes it was warm and revolting. Some kids would drink it but most wouldn't.
