Sun Ra made a lot of recordings, but they were pressed in small numbers.
He claimed to have come from the planet Saturn, so perhaps he brought some Saturnine vinyl with him.

However I have a strict rule when it comes to vinyl - it has to be black!
In days of old, when coloured vinyl was more noisy than black, I would have agreed with you. It is now perfectly possible to buy quiet coloured vinyl, so a bit of variety is good.

I agree, I have a few coloured vinyl albums (not out of choice), and I was surprised to find the SQ to be absolutely fine. It's the picture discs I can't be doing with - I have a Eurythmics album and an Alice Cooper 12" single, which are so bad they're unlistenable.

It's easy to look down on pop and most of what I listen to is heavier, but this album is a masterpiece IMHO. Songs, production, the lot... Follow-up Provision is almost as good. Green Gartside is a genius.

Listening to Radio Caroline right now. Had Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, The Who, AC/DC already. Oh and Oasis, but it was Noel doing vocals, so I could tolerate it.
