    Yes, I'm aware of Keith Emerson's fascination with 'classical' music. If I was to see the CD at a good enough price, I might be tempted - and then spend too much time comparing it with Mussorgsky's original!

    Well yes that is a distinct possibility - coming from a 'classical' point it may well come up short. But I can hear it for what it is, without comparisons, even though I will probably have heard the Mussorgsky original pieces at various times.

    Buy it, hate it, sell it on to me - I have a decent vinyl copy but wouldn't mind it on CD
