I recently received a request to make a Platine Verdier armboard to specific height and thickness specs.
Solid ebony of course
It will replace a MDF lacquered piece.

Anti skate weight for the heavyweight Fidelity Research FR66S - 12" tonearm.
Beefier than the 10.5" FR64S.
Seen here with a 2mm test mount rod
With the correct sized M2.5 grub screw
Customer in France gave feed back that it perfect.

Here's a solid Ebony Armboard for Supatrac themselves.
Linn spindle to pivot and 3 mounting bolt holes.
Flush top, fitting from below.
Will be very interesting to see Supatrac's arm all mounted up demo'ing on a Technics SL-1300G.
Solid one piece construction. No resonating aluminium or steel two piece plates.

This one will be electroplated and finished in brushed Nickel.
