When I used to go hifi shopping in the 70s and 80s I used to smarten myself up a bit, my reasoning being that the salesmen would give you more attention if you looked like you could afford their kit. I don't think it matters much these days, in fact it looks like some folks might be 'dressing down' at hifi shows. Unless it is a deliberate attempt to keep the sales blokes off their backs![]()
