    'Pigeonland Stoke'

    Don't know what the attraction is about this particular bit of ground but there's always loads of pigeons knocking about here:

    No that was miles away. Good job too, we can't have Pigeonland being closed down so close to the start of the tourist season.

    They probably wonder the same about us and pub gardens whenever the sun comes out.

    I had to check they hadn't nicked it from the town centre, but no it's still there

    That's in Burslem (pronounced locally as 'Boz-lum'). The land that time forgot. I used to work there years ago but not had cause to go there for a long time.

    Maybe it's time you did. I bet you could get a good deal on City Breaks there, though I'd expect a hotel balcony with a view of the statue to cost a fair bit more.

    I don't think there is a hotel there let alone one with balconies.

    Imagine the 1950s but more run down than that.
