    Default Collaro Microgram

    Hello,
It has been a while since I have been on the site, had some issues with my login as well.

I wonder if someone may be able to help with this.

My neighbour asked if I could look at a Collaro Microgram for her, she wants to get her elderly mothers 78's but she can only have them if she can get this working!

She asked me to have a look but it is too old for me to be able to do anything.

Does anyone know someone, that could have look at this? Or even to get an idea what it would cost to fix. Apparently, it doesn't do much more than smoke when it is turned on...

    Cheers

If "it doesn't do much more than smoke when it is turned on...", that sounds like a problem with the motor, which may have seized up due to the grease drying out.

The following sites may be of help:

You will most certainly have to replace the cartridge. The best suggestion is to replace it with a crystal device featuring a 'flip over' stylus.

    Good luck!
