Had a pleasant afternoon yesterday at Macca's house. His new speakers are really something special - to my ears they do everything right and nothing wrong. "Effortless" is the word that comes to mind. Course I could never fit them into my living room, but at Martin's they work a treat. Quality of finish is first rate too.
Not much of a review, but I will add this: the bass units are like bin lids
I just dropped in, to see what condition my condition was in

Always good to have a second opinion just as some sort of sanity check.
I listened to that Tracy Chapman again after you left, that really does sound stupid good.

There's some bass on that Gorillaz album. Think that's the first time I actually seen the woofers moving - barely perceptibly though.

After much trial and tribulation finally got the TV system up and running again with this NAD amp and a Topping E30 DAC:
Spent a couple of hours on this the other day and just could not get sound out of it. Messed about with the DAC, checked connections a dozen times. Gave up.
Suddenly occurred to me today that some years back I'd taken the links out of the NAD so to use it as a power amp only. Now where did I put the links? Not in the usual place I would put them of course. Finally found them after a fingertip search and stuck them in, and was rewarded with glorious sound.
Now just need to think of a way to connect the subwoofer.

Yes but that's a set and forget, I need a solution where the sub volume goes up and down with level going to the main speakers.

You'll need some Y connectors then, and use short rca links to link out the pre/power sections on the amp, other set in the Y can go to the sub, assuming it only has line level inputs?
