Apart from being green a decent St. Patrick's day watch also needs to:

Have an alarm to remind you when the pub's open, and be sturdy enough to survive the wearer falling over pissed. And be resistant to pub brawl damage.
I just dropped in, to see what condition my condition was in

T/T: Inspire Monarch, X200 tonearm, Ortofon Quintet Blue. Phono: Project Tube Box CD: Marantz CD6006 (UK Edition); Amp: Musical Fidelity A5 Integrated.
Speakers: KEF Reference 3, REL T9i subwoofer. Cables: Atlas Equator interconnects, Atlas Hyper 3.0 speaker cables

    T'other system:
Echo Dot, Arcam A75 integrated, Monitor Audio R852 MD speakers
    A/V:
LG OLED65 G56LS, Panasonic Blu Ray, Sony a/v amp, MA Radius speakers, REL T9i sub.

Also needs to be easy to slide off the wrist and down the hand to serve as a makeshift knuckleduster.

I could do with one of those, I struggle with what day of the week it is. And I'm not even retired yet.

I'd like one that was just that 'days' bit. No date, no big hand little hand, no seconds sweep. It'd save me the job of having to say "Alexa, what day is it?" And having to repeatedly ask throughout the day.

Pensioners in the olden days had it so easy - they knew when it was Saturday because Batman was on, and Sunday they had Songs of Praise (otherwise known as "we're only here to get our fizzog on telly").

Monday Wednesday Friday was Corrie, Thursday World in Action. Not sure what Tuesday was, queuing at the Post Office probably.

I'm not that keen on the cosmetics - to my mind the two sub dials ought to be of equal size.

I don't understand how anyone can not know what day it is: the date perhaps, but the day no.

I've always struggled with it a bit. Before phone alarms I'd forget to switch off the alarm Friday night and be halfway out the door before realising it was Saturday.

I've also gone into work when I've had the day off, thinking it was still the day before. That got a few laughs, especially as I then had a 7 mile walk home.
