Now only 9 months off of turning forty:



After finishing our last 'O' level exam a few of us went round to a schoolmates house and his dad had just bought this album and Bon Jovi 'Slippery When Wet' so first time I had heard them, except for the singles on the radio.

His mum and dad must have been about 17 or less when they had him as they were still quite young. The mother was a bit of a fox, actually.

Hard to grasp that it's now so long ago but it was the midpoint between now, and the end of WW2

Some talk of it recently so I thought I'd give this perennial charity shop favourite a run out:



I think the real problem with this album is there's no theme. It's a grab bag of all sorts from sub-Oasis rock-outs to soul-pop with a bit of disco chucked in. She's best at the soul-pop stuff but there's not enough of it.

Anyways she's still quite fanciable.

A while since I've played this, but I've got the house to myself for a couple of hours. And that extraordinary piano playing on the title track which Anita hates with a passion was due an outing
