John Mayall And The Bluesbreakers – A Hard Road
    Label: Decca – none
    Format:
Vinyl, LP, Album, Reissue, 180 Grams

Maybe I should invest in one to replace my original copy, bought when it was first released.

I think it is. 2003. Blimey, more than 20 years ago!

My opinion FWIW, is that it's pretty good, well produced and recorded (as you would expect), but the songs are not nearly as interesting as their earlier stuff.

Probably worth getting at that price, though it is a bit of a lottery - Adrian and myself got copies in first rate condition, while two other forum members weren't so lucky.

I did not. That is quite some claim to fame

I think you'd go a long way to find someone who has worked harder to promote racial harmony in this country, via his Two Tone record label (and thanks to Special AKA'a "Free Nelson Mandela", abroad too).

The last I'd seen of him was a performance on TV (might have been Jools Holland) fronting his Spatial AKA Orchestra, which looked interesting, but as far as I know didn't make it onto an album.

As noted in the other thread, I've now got a good copy. I don't think I would buy an expensive LP from speedyhen (marketplace seller on Amazon) but at £7 it is worth the risk. I think Willbewill was happy enough despite some surface marks. Sound quality is very good. I am familiar with a few tracks but the album largely passed me by. I had the Beano album back in the day (I actually bought it late 70's) but never picked this one up, which was a mistake. I was a bit of Clapton fan boy at the time which would probably explain it.
