So we start with this her second album from 2012; this outstanding singer songwriter often compared to Karen Carpenter, from which you can read as, a vocalist with am extraordinary ability to deliver the most challenging song and make it sound effortless and beautiful! She can tackle every genre and make it sound like it’s all she has ever sung, as the collection of tracks here demonstrates.

What a voice! Yes, at the time of her other album's release (Seasons of my Soul) she was also likened to Dusty Springfield. Not sure about that, but Karen Carpenter definitely. Not played either for some time, I will remedy that later.

And now that you've brought her back to my attention, I have just ordered "Into Colour" (her 3rd album) off Music Magpie. Only £2.98 with free postage.

Single taken from Leftfield's "Rhythm & Stealth" album, featuring British rapper Roots Manuva, with several remixes. The Tipper Remix in particular is so "leftfield" there aren't enough drugs in the world to make it sound like music. But still good fun, unless you're prone to migraines.

With a name like that he was always going to be Swedish. Actually his mum and dad are Argentinian. All Music Guide describes it as "a striking collection of hushed and autumnal indie pop bedroom songs that reside on the hi-fi end of the lo-fi spectrum". And who am I to argue?

I bought it a couple of years ago, drawn by the odd sleeve art, then immediately ignored it. Not sure about this - pretty much just him and his acoustic guitar, and no doubt he is quite competent, but it is a bit samey. Should improve with repeated listens, but really life's too short.

I have it, again picked up in a charity shop. In fact I might have two titles by Gonzalez (why do think with a name like that he would be Swedish?), and neither are, as you say, an immediate hit. In fact I would go as far as saying if doesn’t grab you, there is no compelling reason to persevere with it.
