IF YOU (LIKE ME) LIKE THE THE SWEET, THEN THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST VERSIONS OF A GREATEST HITS (BY THE SWEET) THAT YOU CAN GET BECAUSE IT INCLUDES ALL THE SUPERB B-SIDES TO THE SINGLES THAT THEY DID AND IT'S IN PRETTY MUCH CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER !!!
I STILL THINK THE SWEET WERE TOTALLY UNDERRATED AS A BAND AND DESERVE BETTER RECOGNITION THAN THEY GET; THEY WERE A LOT MORE THAN A POP BAND......... THEY ROCKED!!!

Differing opinions about particular music choices are just a bit of fun, and come under the heading 'banter' imo.
FWIW, I had no time for The Sweets' glam singles, but having seen them live in the 80s I would agree with Loz, that they did indeed 'rock'. And regarding that Fleetwood Mac album, well I have that and have played it only once. The picture on the cover of that poor dog begging it's owner "Please make it stop!" should have been my first clue.

Well, I can always count on Barry's unique seal of approval..................... cheers Barry !!!Now we've got Barry's inane nonsense out of the way; The Sweet, like Slade, Bowie and T-Rex were bloody great and, to me, were the essence of good time rock n roll when music was fun !!!!
If you wanna hear The Sweet rock, listen to the B-Sides of some of the glam singles......... they were heavier and more powerful than the A-Side !!! As for their music lacking substance or value, I think there's plenty of people out there who may disagree with you as THEY ALSO SOLD LOTS AND LOTS OF RECORDS !!!! Kerr-Ching !!!!
As I've always said in many of my posts, music is subjective and we all like different things - if we all liked the same thing, the world would be boring and uninteresting and I appreciate that my musical tastes aren't to everyone else's taste but, on here, I don't trash what other people like - it's personal choice and that's how it is.
