I like it a lot, heavier, perhaps less 'playful' than the second.

Thanks Dom, I did notice a new re-issue on Ebay at a very good price, so I took the plunge and snapped it up, looking forward to some more Patto.

I noticed that you probably have quite a lot of records, I was wondering what cleaning regime you have if any?

I have been trying something new out recently based on the Audiophile Man's(Paul Rigby) vinyl cleaning product reviews and his manual cleaning process, I was primarily cleaning with an ultra-sound bath and a cleaning fluid mix similar to what he uses, but I felt the ultra-sonic clean did not always get the record clean. So I have tried another product and gone back to using it in the Disco-Anitstatic and got some great results.

I never thought that this particular record was very well re-issued/recorded/engineered, it always sounded a bit lack lustre. However I have been trying out a different record cleaning product and it seems to have made all the difference, much more clarity and detail, and better dynamics. Perhaps it's a case of not being properly cleaned when made, or maybe my ears are working fully today.

Saw these chaps at Southampton Students Union on January 30, 1971 at a young age, as you did then, An interesting gig to say the least, they came on stage and asked the audience if we were ready to party, and then threw a load of stuff into the crowd. Those were the days.

Hmm, I haven't really moved beyond record cleaning fluid and disposable cloths...
