    Just finished off my second eBike. Did most yesterday and tidied the wiring today. Looks neat now.

    It's a cheap small frame Carrera Subway with a Yose front drive kit fitted. I'll take it out for a spin tomorrow.

    It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

    It stands me in approx £250 excluding the battery. My other one is same spec (36v 250w) and will cruise along at a bit below 20 mph, which feels perfectly adequate and you don't want more. 20 miles on one charge (10.8Ah battery) or about double on full pedal assist. Charge is about 20p I'm told, so 1p a mile. Legally, I should eliminate the thumb throttle though, but it is handy, I may find a way around that.

    might be able to fit a sneaky button somewhere or disguise it, and disconnect that one

    Its sounds nice and meaty - I have left the baffle in. When the baffle is out it is just a tad too much.
    It is supposed to have a carbon fibre end on the can but it fell off many months ago
