Mrs. P had hers last month, but I just haven't round to it yet, despite getting NHS text messages. I really should do something about it.

There's a cut-off date, about a month left I think.

I had mine a couple of weeks ago; one jab in each arm. The flu jab arm was a bit sore for a couple of days but passed.

i felt a bit crappy for a few days after the flu one this year. dont recall that happening before to me, but i guess it shows i have an immune system of sorts

Hilarious shopping on Ebay, when the 'Buy it nows' show up at ridiculously inflated prices. £150 for a first issue of Pink flag by Wire, or heh £65 for a copy with copious scratches on it, like some old whore in an Amsterdam window, demanding top dollar for her services. I just got a copy of Islands by King crimson, that was supposed to be nr mint, it had more snap crackle and pop than the breakfast cereal you know the name of, doesn't matter cos upon playing it was actually a bit of a crap LP, their next 'Red' sounds better.

I thought you were planning to whittle down your record collection, that idea didn't last long I would consider holding off on the rarities until after the vinyl bubble has burst, too many chancers about...

And using a free streaming service to 'try before you buy' will save potentially expensive unwise buys.

Got a used copy of this from a record shop in Bury this afternoon. Only a tenner. I'll find out what it sounds like tomorrow, but it looks tidy enough.

On the contrary, I've gotten rid of even more, quite enjoying it. Most of the leavers are records that don't have much melody, you know 'experimental' type music, including Kraftwerk. Tend to listen to alot of stuff on the ECM label nowadays. Whittled my Bowie collection from about 7 lps to 3, just don't wanna listen to 'Starman' anymore, too old for it. On the other hand I couldn't part with 'Hunky Dory' because of the incredibly uplifting 'Queen bitch', lol. Basically operating on the premise that life is short, and we all have to bye eventually, so might aswell start getting used to it. emmmm.

Bit of good karma here.

After undergoing major surgery, our next door neighbour needed complete rest, so for 3 weeks Anita doubled up on our evening meals, and provided them a 'meals on legs' service, as the neighbour's hubby wasn't much cop in the kitchen.

Anyway, the enjoyed Anita's air-fried chips which made up some of the meals so much that she decided to buy them an air fryer for Christmas.

Anyway,while sorting through assorted receipts/gift tokens yesterday (she throws nothing away), she found a forgotten Argos credit note dating from last December for £65. Feels like free money, like putting on a coat you haven't worn for a while and finding a tenner in one of the pockets, but more so

So, at what feels like no cost, Anita has become the best neighbour they could ever hope for (their words). Makes me feel warm and fuzzy
