Turned it down. Doesn't want to move to L.A, doesn't want to ditch the band.

My partner has just managed to pull down the shower curtain rail. Another unplanned repair job for me to do today!

We have one of those extending poles which you then twist to lock. So easy. Mind you we haven't used the shower in maybe four or five years, might explain why we never get any visitors...

Actually it's baths every time for me. Last thing before I go to bed, I don't want to be bothered in the morningtime.

She only has the curtain there for show anyway, because we also have one of these.

All fixed now. Yes, it was an extendable 'twist to lock' type. Been up there for ages, but fell down under the added weight of some hand washing put up to dry. The curtain rail was not designed for the extra weight.

Mind you, she did offer to repair it by banging in a couple of nails! Even if she had used masonry nails the tiles would have cracked and a right old mess made.
I thought about it and made a repair which will now take some extra weight, yet no longer depends on compressing the spring-loaded ends of the rail. And all the modifications are neatly hidden, so you can't see what I have done.

'No more nails' is, I believe, an adhesive so the repair would have been irreversible. My repair is reversible.

true but it would be preferable to real nails into tiles
