    Bet you wish it was.

I’ve only ever seen one original copy of it, that was a good ten years ago, it was out of my price range even then!
I have got a cd version though.

Me too, since I acquired this very nice copy a couple of years ago... I must have played it a lot when I had it back in the 70s, because I still remember every word of the lyrics. It was critically panned when it first released, luckily I don't read record reviews

Playing "Rock 'n' Roll Animal" earlier prompted me to read up on guitarist Steve Hunter (still with us, age 75), and his long time friend Bob Ezrin (who produced this as well as much of Alice Cooper's albums). I can hear elements of Ezrin's production values from "Billion Dollar Babies" in this, although obviously the content differs enormously!

My reading up on Hunter has led me to this, which is now on my to-buy list:

    Looks interesting.

My CD copy has the first cover, my vinyl has the second. Although a friend has vinyl with the first image as the cover - Which I think he got when it first came out.

So no idea which was the original.

    Edit - the answer is

In 1974, the album was issued in Europe via Germany under the title Rock the Nation. This release duplicated the track listing of the U.S. album, but had a different front sleeve image, replacing the band's photo with that of a large-busted blonde girl sporting a pink see-through blouse.
Interesting !! Never seen that cover before and didn't know about the different titles !!

I would say this one Barry, Berlin. I prefer this to Transformer, but that's just me. I'm not familiar with his later albums, so my opinion has limited value.

That it is imo. Was composed and performed by aforementioned Steve Hunter. I don't get why our laptops don't communicate properly, it's just weird

I wanted another fix of Sweet Jane, so went with this: Cowboy Junkies "The Trinity Session" Music on Vinyl.

I should have included this track on that other thread "Great Covers". And the rest of the album isn't too shabby

There's a printing error on the rear of the sleeve, where it lists side a, side b, side c, disc d. I wonder if it will become valuable? Probably not.
