Ultravox - Rage In Eden. I cannot express how good I think the first 4 Albums by Ultravox (with Midge Ure) are!!! SUBLIME!!!
Playing this album (ripped from my CD in FLAC) via the Pi-DAC Streamer through to my Pioneer AV amp - sounds great !!!

Would definitely recommend 'Aqualung' and 'Thick as a Brick'.
Got this for a couple of quid, and the vinyl is like new, so it would be rude not to... This is the only Tull album I own, and I'm quite liking it, but I'm betting it's nowhere near their best... any recommendations? I'm thinking maybe Thick as a Brick, Aqualung, or one I heard many years ago where one track ended iirc with someone apparently jumping off a tall building
It was the later Tull LPs along with other self-satisfied AOR groups that provided the impetus for the introduction of punk.
Having said that, I quite like 'Songs from the Wood' (1977).

This album ("Stormwatch") was released September 1979, more than two years after The Sex Pistols' "God Save The Queen", so the backlash was well underway.
I read that it was the third of a trio of folk rock albums that started with the "Songs from the Wood" you mention and continued with "Heavy Horses", and was the last album to include the full Tull lineup - the bass player John Glascock was seriously ill at the time and only contributed to part of the album, and died soon after.
I always liked the look of the "Thick as a Brick" album sleeve (John & Yoko's "Some Time in New York City" similarly appealed, though I did resist it as I did eventually hear it and thought it was a bit cack).
"Thick as..." will go on my Christmas wish list, along with albums from King Crimson, Blind Faith, also Waka/Jawaka, all of which passed me by first time around.

Still my favourite Genesis live album and takes me back to the first time I saw them live in the late 70's. I knew the "old" songs (The Cage, I Know What I Like, Suppers Ready et al) with Collins vocals before I really knew the Gabriel versions.

So first up, this soundtrack album from 1980, with one of my all time favourite ballads and a singer who totally blew me away live. When touring the songs from the film her support act were some guys called Duran Duran not sure if they ever amounted to much ! [emoji16] Great saxophone solo on Will You by Wesley Magoogan, the album stayed in the chart for 38 weeks with the singles Will You and Eighth Day both making the top 10.
